Nicolas Hugon and his wife Ellen, along with their children, are new to the Paonia community and already putting down strong roots. They recently purchased the beloved former Twisted Root farm — an organically managed property with healthy soil and thoughtful infrastructure already in place to thrive.

At Sunny Days Farm, Nicolas grows food with careful attention to detail. He rotates crops intentionally, tends each planting with care, and keeps a close eye on quality from seed to harvest. His approach is steady, hands-on, and grounded in respect for the land.

Beyond the fields, Nicolas is also a talented trumpet player. He and his family are weaving themselves into the Paonia community through a shared love of good food, good music, and meaningful connection.
