Why we love Figure 8 Farming!
Figure 8 Farming grows specialty vegetables in our gardens in Paonia for communities around the Western Slope of Colorado. Although we are not certified, we use exclusively organic practices, and we aim to consistently grow the highest-quality produce by stewarding and working with the abundant natural resources at The Living Farm on Stewart Mesa.
Our mission is to create nutrient-dense soils that can produce nutrient-dense food year-round, and we firmly believe these systems nurture the highest-quality produce that can be found in stores. We use growing systems that the previous farmers had perfected over the course of four decades, and we are constantly aiming to uphold the quality of our soils, plants, and produce. The small team at the farm puts lots of hard work and tender care into every step of the seed-to-store process – from every bed that is prepared for planting, to every seed that is carefully watered during its first few weeks, to every leaf of lettuce that is hand-picked, hand-washed, and hand-packaged for our customers’ enjoyment. Our small business only started in 2024, and we are incredibly grateful for all support of our goal to put the most-nutrient dense produce on plates throughout Western Colorado.
