Meet Nicholas and Ellen, the passionate couple behind Sunny Days Farm on Pitkin Mesa. Formerly known as Twisted Root, this newly revived organic farm is entering a fresh chapter under their thoughtful stewardship. They’re starting small—making the most of two on-site greenhouses and focusing on nutrient-dense, high-quality produce grown using regenerative techniques and minimal inputs beyond their own homemade compost.

Nicholas is especially driven to push the boundaries of local food production and will be experimenting with winter growing—a bold and exciting move in our region. We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome these new growers to the valley and can’t wait to share their harvest with you!
