Yak meat has been eaten in Eastern Asia for thousands of years. In the Himalayas, the meat of mature yaks, called “Barkhor,” is the most expensive, while the meat of younger yaks, called “doko,” is even leaner. The tail, tongue, and other internal parts are also traditionally considered delicacies

Why we love supporting Abundant Life Organic Farm

This family farm is certified organic and a part of the “Real Organic Project.” They  started in 2006 and grow world class specialty melons, garlic, and sweet onions, as well two dozen other row crops, berries, peaches, apricots, and plums.
