The Story of Grey Owl Garden

Grey Owl Garden is a young farm on the Western Slope of Colorado. We are Certified Organic through Oregon Tilth. Much of the farm is planted in medicinal herbs, however, we grow culinary herbs, produce, fruits, seeds, fiber, and dye plants as well. Perennial vegetables, regional species and varieties, experimental crops, and uncommon plants also find homes here.

We feel that our valley here on the North Fork of the Gunnison River is a truly special place to be growing medicinal herbs. Good soil, clean water and healthy relationships provide a strong foundation for plants, while intense sun, hot days and cool nights, cold winters, elevation, and frequent strong winds promote potency.
